Waste of money
The greens are the worst that I’ve ever played. No reception whatsoever, my friend and I’s shots would land on the front or middle of the green and rolled off the back nearly every time. Impossible to get any spin whatsoever, the ball bounces off of them. Layout was a bit boring, pace of play was pretty brutal for a Tuesday, with nobody really keeping groups ahead of us moving. Sat at every teebox for ~10 minutes before being able to tee off when we were on the back 9. They also don’t sell booze because their license got revoked apparently. Not worth the money at all.
Alcohol
You should know that this place lost his liquor license about three years ago. They do not serve alcohol of any kind.
No Booze?
Course was in nice shape. Nice layout. Good value. would have been nice to know that they had no liquor license. we could have brought outr own.
Poor Management
3 groups backed up at the first tee box.
Tee'd off 20-25mins after our booked tee time
Starter says it's not his job or fault it's backed up so much (Who's job is it?)
Starter follows us up the first hole, commenting on our shots and questioning club selection.
No beer/alcohol, all other food and drink items are way overpriced
The course itself is in fantastic shape and the layout is really fun to play. No complaints about the golf side of things.
Never again....
Sad to find this once gem of Macomb county has been spoiled by mis-management.
Our group arrived early on a weather-perfect Sunday morning. First clue of bad things to come: an in-our-face sign at the check-in counter --"NO RAINCHECKS FOR ANY REASON" Ok fine, nice way to greet patrons.
Second clue: range balls-- $7 for 20 or so beat-up, cut, worn smooth, crappy range balls. Ok, not that big a deal. Now we get to #1--the starter was very pleasant, jovial, and friendly. He is a keeper for sure.
We finished the front nine in two hours. The turn was a different story. The backup at #10 was crazy. We spent another two hours on holes 10-14. My guess is that they packed the back nine without concern for groups making the turn. Of course, no rangers to be seen anywhere. We left after 14, with no desire to return.
Good condition Challenging course
The boys and I went out on a Sunday after church and had a blast!!!
We started off with some bogeys since the course is challenging but either way it made for a good time.
The greens are the most challenging but are in good condition.
Will definitely be back.
