Good for knocking off rust
I played here for the first time in 10 years. Course has tightened up due to tree growth they need to thin it out, and as a result its become "tight", tree lined on both sides.
Fairways in rough shape that must hold the world's largest ant farm, ant hills all over EVERY fairway. Almost half of the greens with severe damage that needs to be fixed.
For the most part you get what you pay for in the summer season, but rates too high for the shoulder seasons.
With a bit of TLC is could be real nice again.
Fun and unique golf course
Dunes Golf Club is a fun little track that weaves back and forth through hardwoods near the beautiful sleeping bear sand dunes. There's a pretty decent amount of elevation change and there isn't much rough to deal with, making this course a blast to play. The back is a little tighter and tougher, but it's still fun for any skill level. The rates are fair and the people are very nice. Next time you're visiting the sleeping bear dunes or Empire, play a round here. You won't regret it!
