Great value, fun round of golf
The course was in great shape for a Michigan spring. Fairways didn’t have any bare patches the rough was thick and full which was really impressive for this time of year greens rolled true with a lot of undulation so there were some fun puts. Was lucky enough to not find any bunkers so I didn’t get to see how they felt but they looked ok. The layout was great and the atmosphere felt like a course you would play up north all in all I would say it’s one of the best sub $50 courses in southeast Michigan
Back closed, had to play front twice. Greens plugged and sanded, was not told. Had to get own drinks then told they did not have coolers to keep drinks cold. Worker not friendly!
Very rude course marshal
One of the course marshals is very rude to the players. When we played the last hole, he came to us and yelled at us for playing slow. Then he sat in his cart and stared at us with an angry face. Yes it was our fault of playing slow but he should have asked us politely.
He has no manners At all !!!
Would Play Again
This is the first time playing the course. We played it from the tips. I thought the course challenging. You definitely needed control of your tee ball on the back or you would be in bad spots.
The only thing I absolutely HATED, was that multiple holes had branches over hanging the tee box. This affected where I wanted to hit from and also the direction I wanted to hit the ball. Please, please, please cut these branches down.
I’ve golf there for several years at a decent fee that matched the course’s condition. All tee box, sand trap and cart path needs lots of work done. The 8th hole Fairway doesn’t drain well at all. Although the course received new owners last years the course is still not in the best of shape, they have raised the fee, refuse to put money into it while continuing to purchase more courses throughout Michigan leaving them in the same situation. Who dare they upping their rates. This course is not worth the rate they are charging.👎🏽🤨
It's a good average course with a interesting layout. If you aren't hitting the ball straight, you may not like the course, especially the back. To us, that's just golf, and the back will challenge you. The course itself was in ok shape. Not championship. However, my only real complaint are the tee boxes. I've never understood any course having uneven, slanted or rolling tee boxes. But, that said, we like the course for the price. As average courses go, it's more desirable than most.
Laid back, great muni-style course
Don’t listen to the bad food reviews, the glizzies are top-notch. There can be some errant drives that find your fairway, but you can’t expect everyone to be a 5 handicap. Fun course, always in good shape, pace of play can be a little slow at times but it always speeds back up
Bad conditions
Trees everywhere. Fairway is rough. Rough is not kept well. Greens are a mess and extremely slow. Scheduling is awful, crammed everybody together.
Nice course, challenging layout, greens roll true, tee boxes need some work. I play super early tee times so pace isn’t an issue. Surprisingly well stocked pro shop. True “up north” feel. Would recommend.
