What?
Well it’s simple if your not open why let’s us book a round and drive out to find you closed?
Great day great course
It was my first time at this golf course, I have to say it was a first class experience! The course was in great shape, And swinging by the Clubhouse just before 10 was terrific as there was someone grilling outside it was awesome to have a world class burger in between the round. Definitely coming back !!!
Also stopped to take a picture On one of the fairways
I Look forward to the next time, Angelo Rosati
Nice course to play. Nice variety of holes. All skill levels can have fun and still be challenged. Only thing I would recommend is that staff members refrain from bickering and swearing in front of guests. All in all, a good day.
Good plus
Most greens in good plus condition. Pace of play was right on, three some with carts 18 holes in 3.5 hrs.
Great Layout, Enjoyable Round
Excellent golf course. Interesting holes where you are forced to curve your ball and be strategic. Greens were slow (running probably 7 or 8) and bumpy so at this point in the season if you’re looking to score this is not your course. But if you’re looking to think your way around a course and hit golf shots then this is the place for you. Will definitely be back mid-summer when hopefully the greens are healthy and rolling well.
Course got hit bad because of the previous weather in the winter
Usually it's a nice course but last winter messed up the green.
Narrow fairways, great greens!!
Great course, fun holes with many challenges. Be prepared to be playing out of a few trees at somepoint in the day.
Poor spring condition...
It will get better but not real soon. There were not many players on the course but the pace was so slow, we left the course. 2.5 hours to play 9 holes on a course in really bad condition. I got the "hot deal" but still felt it was not a good value due to the pace of play and course conditions. Greens are very slow and have much winter burn. Fairways are quite bad. I won't go back until mid summer as it is not worth the trip at this point.
Rain rain didn’t go away
Great round even though it was raining, challenging layout but worth getting wet.
Trees
Nice course but when I say trees I mean trees!!! Prepare yourself to be amongst them for 18 tough holes with tricky fairways to hit.
FewerTrees, a good start
Storms came through last week and knocked down a few big trees. Most were still there/down and in the process of being removed. This is a good course with a few trees that block large approaches on several holes. So a few less trees is a good start.
It's called Hidden Greens for a reason
Overall, a good and fun course. Conditions were very good. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Greens were a bit slow and soft. Looks like they water a lot.
The layout was good. A lot of risk/reward opportunities. No goofy holes.
And there a lot of trees. Big trees. Every hole is tree-lined. Most are mowed underneath, so if you hit your ball there, you can play out.
But the trees get in the way of good shots. There are 6-7 greens were there are big trees that block approach shots to one side of the green. So you can bust a perfect drive down the middle and still have a tree between you and the pin placement. It gets annoying. That's why no 5 stars for the "Hidden Greens".
But it's nothing a few chainsaws couldn't fix and it would still be a good course.
Dakota County Gem
Hidden Greens (HG) is a fine public golf course. It is always well maintained and plays smoothly. Even on Father’s Day our pace of play was uninterrupted. The first time player may need the guide to negotiate shot making to some greens. However the par 5’s play long and straight. My favorite is the 8th hole that emulates Raye’s Creek. A close second is the 16th that emboldens the player to try a risky second shot through a keyhole over the water. Great fun and good competition for player groups. We call the course ‘Land of the knockdown shot’ as an errant ball will surely find the trees. A new event center is being built that will compliment it’s folksy clubhouse. When you golf at HG you feel like part of the community. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The typical golfers are cheerful, talkative and good sports.
One of my faves
Hidden Greens has been one of my favorite courses over the last few years. It’s halfway between my and my golf pals in the metro area.
The greens were beautiful and the fairways tight. Of course it helps to have a chainsaw in your bag when playing this course...
Seriously, this is a quality course with many challenges and a nice variety. I particularly despise #6 & #16!!! They always seem to get me!
This course has majestic full grown Oaks and Cottonwoods all over - makes the “grown-in” feeling seem more like an old Country Club than a public course.
We golfed this course MUCH more when the green fees were more aggressive. This last time was the first time this year though as we finally saw a break in price after 3pm on Sundays. Last year we golfed this track 2-3 times a week at $30 or less per round (with cart). We like to get out 2-3 - sometimes 4 times a week, so we gotta keep it on the cheaper side.
Early season. Course was very nicely prepared.
Hidden Greens is a jewel whether spring, summer or fall. Beautiful lush views of fairways and greens. Staff is always welcoming.
Nicely groomed
Very nicely done, friendly staff pace was average leaves well maintained will definitely go back
Nice course
Always fun to play this course. They are doing a nice job moving the leaves
