Little Traverse Bay Golf Club is one of the courses that put the Harbor Springs area of northern Michigan on the map as one of the state's most popular golfing destinations. The scenic location offers panoramic views with the ability on clear days to see all the way to Little Traverse Bay on several holes. The rolling terrain provides elevated tees and green complexes that will test your skills picking the proper club. You'll find that the uphill approaches often need one or two extra clubs. Different types of bunkers are strategically placed throughout with some that will give you fairly easy recoveries while others are high-lipped and consequently more punishing. There are some stunning holes thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, especially on the back nine where the landscape is even more undulating.

Sad Loss
Ver sad that this course closed. Loved the layout, conditions, elevation changes and great views.
Huge elevation changes and great views
One of my favorite northern Michigan courses. Wild elevation changes , wild greens and terrific layout.
Little Gem
This course has major elevation changes which make it a little quirky. And you need to lay-up off 15 tee to avoid rough. But it has dramatic views of the bay and Crooked Lake plus dynamite green designs that will challenge even skilled putters. Conditioning is A- Greens rolling 10.5 on Stimp. Pro shop, bar and restaurant are very friendly and offer very inviting spot for dinner.
Of the six courses I’ve played in Harbor Springs, including those at three times the price, this is my favorite.
Hidden Gem
Little Traverse Bay is a Hidden Gem in the Petoskey area. Gorgeous views, good pace of play, and not crowded. Enjoy a fantastic meal after the round while overlooking the course and Little Traverse Bay.
Best of the lot
We played this course, Wequinasong (sp?), True North and Boyne Heather. Hands down, this was my favorite. And super cheap. Public course, now listed for sale for $2.5 mm but with deed restrictions that make it hard to sell.
Loved the layout which minimized blind tee shots. What you see is what you get including spectacular views of the Bay. Conditioning was good but not up to True North (private). Greens nice at 9.5 with lots of slope (typical for the area).
Just loved looking at these holes from the tee and take a minute to look back from the green. Good bar and restaurant next to pro shop.
Perfect condition
The fairways are like carpets and consistent from hole to hole. The greens are fast but hold the ball.
Nice layout and in good shape
One should always play this course if in Boyne area. Panoramic views worth price of green fees
Most beautiful course in Northern Michigan
Views to die for....challenging, exceptional condition.....and they have high end restaurant...what more can you ask for...
Slow play
Great course, tough greens, friendly starter. But, everyone mentioned being busy, and how difficult it was, but no ranger to speed up play, so a 5 1/2 hour round. Also, spend a couple of bucks and put some yardage on the sprinkler heads, a 4 inch disc every 50 yards barely visible in the fairway is not "well marked"
Little Traverse
I have played here for years when I visit Harbor Springs. Still enjoy the layout. Greens are a challenge because the break of the green is based upon the mountain, not the lay of the green.
Stunningly gorgeous track!
About LT Bay, Golf Digest said "Probably not a more beautiful golf course in the world...". Sounds like hyperbole, but it's true. (yes, really)
If you're in the area and like to golf, you simply MUST play here.
