Hackers Paradise
Due to low membership costs, this course is usually fairly packed with slow high handicap players.... The course itself has a decent layout but is fairly poor on the condition meter. The front nine typically plays 4 strokes easier in my own humble opinion... Not a great golf option in the Springfield area.
Hackers Paradise
Played here several times over the years and it seems to get worse.... The course itself is fun enough, but the conditions are typically average to poor, and the pace of play is awful because due to cost of play and/or membership, this is the local course that 20-30 handicappers come out to play or bring people who are looking to golf for the first time (nothing wrong with that at all!) -. Just not the course for me
Fun relaxing course
This course is divided by the interstate. You have to take a tunnel under the interstate to get to the other side which makes it unique. Conditions could be better but the best value in Springfield
Nice Place
Foursome played late morning on a Thursday. Found out when we arrived all five of the greens on the south side of I-44 had been aerated. We decided to play the front 9 twice which was agreed upon by the girl at the front desk. Senior league was going off ahead of us so we decided to hit some range balls. HUGE bucket of balls for the price. . Began to walk to driving range when a groundskeeper barked at us "the range is closed." This was news to us since we could see two people using the range. Returned the bucket for a refund. Girl at the front desk was very apologetic and offered us a free hot dog at the turn. Very nice of her. Apparently the greenskeeper didn't let the front desk know about the aeration and closing the range. Other than that, the course was nice. Greens were true and fairways were in pretty good shape. It's not a hard course, (at least the front 9), but it is fun to play.
