Very nice public course
Very well maintained course with good greens. Nice driving range and practice green. The staff was very courteous and helpful highly recommend Bill and Payne Stewart course and will definitely play again.
Witnessed a Hole in One
With few public courses in Springfield, prepare for a long round as the few public courses are typically packed on nice weekends.... I usually play this course about once a year... It's a decently fun course but pretty average overall on both condition and layout and value. I did get to witness an ace the last time I played here!
These fun courses just aren't around anymore.....
These lighted par threes in the middle of cities that you can tee off at 900pm on just aren't around anymore... I compare these to drive in movie theatres.... This a fun little place to play for $10-$15 and work on your short irons or for someone wanting to try to get into golf or learn golf. Mostly shorter iron holes... One shared green by two holes. The greens are usually fairly decent.... Must walk - no carts. A good date night as well. Whack some balls and get some steps in. Can get fairly busy on nice nights in the summer... Typically fairly dead during the day unless there is a school function or PE class out there.....
Great Par 3 Value
This is a very fun par 3 course that has received a great upgrade. The course is lit and has surprisingly little traffic. The night I went, I took my two boys and they both played free. This is a great place to work on your iron game. Highly recommended.
