Good course
Fun course. Last 3 around the quarry are good. Highly recommend. Also have nice range
Always solid
Greystone is always a fun and challenging place to play. Staff is fantastic
Very Slow Pace
The pace on the back nine was in incredibly slow. I teed off at Off just before 1 o’clock in the afternoon and it would’ve taken me over three hours to do nine holes on the back
Greystone Golf Club
Aside from the guys behind us hitting into us 5 times, we really enjoyed the course and guys we were matched up with. Definitely will go back!
Can be a very difficult course
Early spring round. Greens were still punched from the fall. Course was in good condition for April. Last 3 holes are a gauntlet.
Early season
Always a tough challenge. 16-18 are some of the toughest holes in Michigan. I would not beat Myself up for the rack rate but the deal at GOLFNOW made it easier.
Greystone
Fun course. Varied holes and three great finishing holes
Disappointed with Golfnow Raincheck
Well… I probably won’t be using GolfNow anymore! Had a great front nine before the storm rolled in. Tried to get a rain check from the clubhouse and they washed their hands of the process and told me to try to get one from GolfNow. Which is just about impossible apparently. The website doesn’t have any facility to request a rain check, nor does it have any contact information to make it easy to do so. So, I won’t be using this app again!!
Beautiful course.
The course is well maintained! Greens were very nice. Pace of play was a little slow people were stacked pretty deep. The only issue I really had was we seen a cart girl one time. And they were sitting off to the side of a trail. It was hot and with playing for almost 5 hours we could have used more drinks. But 16-18 are amazing holes and must plays in Michigan!
Back after 20 years
First the staff was great, the pace of play of 4:00 hours for our 3some was excellent, Left right after but the clubhouse looked very nice, I had to give the conditions a good as very good is not an option but I could not call them excellent. The greens were pretty beaten up in the area where the pin positions were. The Second issue with the course, and a regular would not have this problem, is 3-4 holes have blind tee shots which I did not remember after 20 years. Driving accuarcy is a premium, greens can be small depending on where they put the pin, and they have a great deal of break.
Don't know what course you played but even in its worse condition I rate it higher than most courses in the area. A 2 rating is more about your personal experience then what most of us see. Its by no means a resort course but believe me I have seen Top Resort courses that are not worth The $$300 they charge. Some I would never spend more than $50 had I known,
I will not defend a course that is truly bad but I will do so for a course that Strives to be the best.
