Rattle Run Golf Course

Tee time was available for 7 AM. Buddy and I booked. Charge for the tee time came outta my bank account. Get to the course and it was closed. Called twice after course opened and never received an answer. Straight to voicemail. Left a message. Hour later still no call, email, or message back.

Good enough condition for fall golf. Good layout and fair opportunities to score. But dang 6-1/2 hours to play 18???? That is nuts. No ranger, no cart girl, it’s a shame could be a great track.

I teed off at 1030. I’m writing this review at 3:30 and only teeing off at 16. We’ve waited 15 minutes on every tee box. When my buddy asked about it at the halfway we were told “eh it’s a Sunday”. They need to take better care of their tee times and who tees of when. This is legitimately the longest round I’ve ever played. We’ve got three groups waiting on this tee box.

On the day we played, the course had a border patrol outing and was severely overbooked. we were late teeing off due to extreme back up. it took 3 1/2 hours to get through the front 9. My partner and I had enough of the slow play. On the turn I asked the man in the clubhouse if we could get a voucher for 9 holes due to slow play and the heat. He refused to accommodate us and said since we booked through a third party he would not give it to us. If this is the case why was the tee time booking on their website, I had no idea this was not offered through the golf course. I am very disappointed over this situation and will never use a booking site again. There is no reason we should have been denied vouchers...what a rip off. I should at the least get a refund or 2- 9 hole vouchers.

Our tee off time was 6:50 am . We showed up 10 minutes early and no one was there. We waited until 7:20 for a person to show up🤬 No apologies, no reason for being late , just a blunt you can go now.

This course came highly recommended as we belong to a private club minutes away. They were having there invitational so it wasn’t available. I took three guests to what I thought was going to be an exceptional experience. First thing out of the gate after checking i.n we are hit with a 3% additional service charge. Spend an additional $10.00 on a large range ball bucket which consists of found balls not premium range balls. In front of us when we tee off is three twosomes who puts out twosomes in prime time . First nine hole took just under three hours . After our foursome played six holes on the back we left play was too slow the course was too tough for the people playing in front of us. I haven’t played there in years now I remember why. This course is not for beginners and there is defiantly not enough help or management to run it correctly

For $65 for a Holiday weekend this course is unbeatable! It blows every course in Macomb county out of the water for $65! I would put these course conditions up there with the best! The Orchards, Shepards Hollow, Pine Knob, Paint Creek Country Club.... I could go on but none of these courses previously mentioned have better tee box conditions! I couldn't believe the tee box conditions Rattle Run had, their not all perfectly crowned, you still need to pay attention where you tee it up but the par 3 tee boxes were PURE! Their greens rolled great and quick. Fairways were perfect, rough a bit longer then expected, but it made it that much better! The only negative I can think of is the beverage cart does not take card, cash only; which is very standard. I will for sure be back sooner then later.

Great track/layout and really playing in nice condition.

The only good staff member was the young man in the pro shop. Three hours for nine holes , ranger drove around and did nothing, when told that one tee time was holding up the whole course. We watch that group not be able to hit the ball. Also walk into the restaurant at 330 to find that the grill was off and the chairs were on the tables they were closing with over one players on the course. The course has a lot of raised greens and bind shots into greens. No thanks never again.

Very well kept course and they are always making improvements to continue to make it better. Staff is awesome and make it easy to continue to come back! This is my local course and I prefer to play this course over the other local courses.

Lots of elevation changes and course is in great condition. Up north feel down south. Highly recommend!

The best course around for the money. You can tell they care about the course and are always improving. Great layout. Difficult but fun.
