Well maintained course
For fall golf less leaves than most courses in the area
Horrible tee boxes
It was a beautiful fall day and overall we enjoyed the course layout. However, many of the tee boxes were in horrible shape.
Also, we called and found out there was a one hour frost delay and when we showed up, we were told they had caught up and we only had 10 minutes to get to the first tee and missed out on warming up.
Tee Boxes need work
First time playing. You can tell it use to be a private course with the older trees and layout. Greens were very challenging and in very good shape. I realize it’s fall and leaves everywhere; however, could use a blower on many holes. The worst part of the course was the horrific tee boxes, every tee box needs work, some are practically all dirt. I realize we have not had rain in quite some time but still they need a lot of work. I did enjoy the course and the overall layout. If they put some work into the course it would really make it a much better course
Terrible Pace of Play
One of the longest rounds of my life. We had a foursome in front of us that was an hour or more behind and the ranger did not monitor pace of play to tell them to pick up the pace. Course was in great shape though and the staff was friendly.
Hopewell Valley
I really like this course. It has a great layout, but the only thing that sucks is the staff is very rude. Besides that it’s all good.
Pin locations were stupid- tee boxes stink
Not worth the money for the frustration. The tee boxes and fairways have no grass.
The pin locations all on the edges of the holes.
Pace was slow. Played as a 2 behind a 3 ball. Took 4 hours 20’mins.
Should be cheaper for the quality of fairway and tees. No water on the course either!!
Gem in the Rough
This is a very nice course and the more you play it the more you will be impressed with it. The only issue is if you have a red flag on number two be careful because anything not perfect will run off the green. I think that needs to be fixed
Prime Course
Course is in excellent condition and is a must play for serious golfers. Beautiful area and people are very friendly. A must play in Mercer County
