Great Gorge Golf Club - Lake/Quarry Course

About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Golf Now booking 0-10 SCAM!
Hello my name is Michael, I booked this course through golfnow app, canceled 2/4 of my places on the reservation 24+ hours prior to reservation and still haven’t received a credit over 7 business days later. Golf now customer support is 0/10 rating. They have no customer support email nor phone number which is readily available for their customers. Golf now if you see this review kindly reach out to my email address of account to credit my money back. At this point I feel like this app is a scam and will never book through them again. Great gorge golf course however is beautiful. Love it there.
Great Course
Some like to take their sweet time knowing there are others behind them. Almost killed the mood when the guy waited at the next hole to ask for courtesy while he’s taking 15 putts on the green and 17 swings to get to the green itself. Some people don’t have a brain therefore depending who you’re behind determines your day. Other than that, beautiful course and staff is friendly except one that clearly does not want to work there.
First time, will be going all season.
Great open course, good challenge for mid game. I would recommend this course to family and friends without a doubt. Can’t wait for warmer weather
Always great time in Great gorge.
I enjoyed playing here, and they always keep it in great condition.

Played the course many years ago in its gay day. Unbelievable views, glad to see it being revitalized -
Cart paths need some work. but I’m sure it’s coming.
I have played it several times this fall and I’m a Li w as us challenged by this course.
Beautiful courses and best value for the price.
Three courses are beautiful!
Lake course. Quarry course and Rail course. I also liked club house and food they served such as grilled hotdog and hamburger which gave us to play 18 holes.
Nice day of fall golf
Had a great round yesterday with a couple friends. Very warm November day. The course was in terrific shape. You have to hand it to grounds crew. All the leaves were blown into the woods. The fairways and rough were incredible as were the traps. The greens were awesome looking. Yet they were a bit fast being this late in the season. It was difficult putting and getting the speed right. All in all a great round. And the Hef's Hut restaurant in the clubhouse was amazing. Great look and feel. Nice menu and drink selection. All the staff at Great Gorge were friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be back.
