Robert Trent Jones is turning over...
I totally agree with what the previous reviewer wrote. There is very little money being put into this course, and the course management is sub-par.
There is one water dispenser in the entire facility. No online reservations. Ball washers often have no water in them.
The biggest concern is with the course management. There are tractors riding on the greens to spread/rake sand and tractors doing circles in the sand traps to 'rake' them. Any golfer knows that tractors will pack down the sand, and nubbed tires will affect roll on the greens. This is why the traps are so hard to hit out of---the traps are actually better when wet.
Serious drainage issues lead to inconsistent conditions throughout the course.
A diamonsd in the rough
The Cornell golf course is a Robert Trent Jones design, and one can easily see that it could truly be a magnificent track. Unortunately, the University seems content to "let it be" as if simply having Jones's name on were enough. The bunkers are unplayable, and the irrigation extremely uneven
If they put a little money into the course, it would be one of the best in the region. It has wonderful green complexes and a challenging layout over a great property. It just needs a little love
