Extremely Good Course Conditions
Just played 18 here yesterday and the course is in amazing shape for the weather we have had this summer (very little rain) - fairways and greens were absolutely perfect and almost no dead or brown grass anywhere. Rough was kept at perfect height. Greens were well maintained and healthy. Also a pretty difficult course with lots of water. My only complaint is there is no pro-shop and the clubhouse/lunch facilities are pretty lame and outdated. Worth every penny you will spend for the actual golfing though. My hat's off to the groundskeeper!
Poor Maintenance
Played this course many years ago; the top public course in the Buffalo area. Now, greens EXTREMELY slow (need a driver, not a putter) and fairways not mowed closely. Very disappointed.
great course
For a public course I would say it's in great condition. I golf at many other courses in Western New York and I would put Sheridan golf course in my top 5... The back 9 is extremely challenging with quite a few water hazards and up and down hills...that's usually where you may get a little backed up. ... especially if your behind someone new to the course. ...but if you are looking for a course with a little bit of excitement try Sheridan. .. You may lose a few balls along the way but you certainly won't be bored!
