Bartram Trail Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2022Nice Course, needs some work
Overall, Bartram Trail is okay. The greens were firm and fast and the fairways were in good shape. However, the tee boxes were pretty much a disaster area. On many of them there was no grass to be found. The cart paths were pretty bad in many areas. Some of the problem is due to encroaching tree roots, but even worse was the cart path/fairway junctions. Some were nearly impassable.
It was a pretty warm day, and we only saw the beverage cart once during the round. Also, the water coolers located on some of the tee areas were empty. When we checked in at the pro shop we were told that the course is under new management. I hope the new management gets these issues resolved, because Bartram Trail is a nice layout and has always been fun to play.
The Links At Brick Landing
Played On 12/26/2021Not much has changed
New greens at Brick Landing, but they need some time to mature. In a year or so they could be okay. Other than that, very little has changed at the course. Tee areas still very sparse, fairways aren’t much better. We’ll try it again in 10-12 months.

Hello, danamcqueen. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing The Links At Brick Landing.
Tanglewood Manor Golf Club
Played On 05/04/2021Fun course, worth the trip.
Tanglewood Manor is a nicely maintained, well run course in rural Pennsylvania. The pro shop staff and starter were outstanding, very friendly and helpful. Course conditions were good overall. The tee areas and fairways were excellent. Greens were pretty slow, but it’s a public course and gets a lot of play, so that’s understandable. Sand traps need work, some washed out areas. No restaurant, but a good little snack bar available for hot dogs, burgers, etc. Good quality at a decent price. Pace of play was good on the first nine (1:30), but really slow on the second nine (2:30). Never saw a ranger/marshall during our round, it would’ve been helpful to have someone providing assistance to the slower groups. All in all, we had a fun round.
Bartram Trail Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2020Outstanding course
Very nice layout, lots of elevation change and contour. A couple blind tee shots. Fantastic greens, great condition, pretty fast and very true. Fairways also in very good condition. Most of the tee areas were good, but a couple were in pretty rough shape. Not a big deal, it's November after all. The pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience. We'll definitely be back.
Farmstead Golf Links
Played On 02/18/2017A pleasant course for all golfers
Everything about Farmstead is good. Interesting layout, well maintained, good greens, and a very friendly staff. There are a few holes that have hidden "features", so unless you're familiar with the course it's a good idea to invest in a course guide. The practice facilities are very good and the pro shop is well stocked. Farmstead is one of the really fun courses in the Myrtle Beach/Calabash area. Pace of play is seldom a concern as the course ambassadors to a fine job. Highly recommended.
Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/23/2016Greens: pretty sparse, but it is winter
Fairways: reasonable conditions
Tees: some okay, some pretty bad
Bunkers: good overall, some wet areas

Rivers Edge Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2016Nice course, mediocre conditions
After making our booking I received a call from the River's Edge staff informing me that they had just aerified their greens, and that we could change our tee time if we wanted to wait until the greens were in better condition. I very much appreciated this courtesy call. We decided to go ahead with our original tee time. Looking back on our round, the greens really weren't too bad at all. However, many of the tee boxes were in terrible condition, and some of the fairways and bunkers were very bad as well. The course layout is pretty interesting, especially the holes along the river. Holes 8,9,16,17,18 are particularly memorable. The River's Edge staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Overall it was an enjoyable round and I look forward to future rounds at River's Edge.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We will take your words into consideration as we are constantly working to improve our course. We are happy to hear that overall you enjoyed your round and we are looking forward to having you back!
Virtues Golf Club
Played On 06/20/2016A great day of golf
The Virtues (ex-Longaberger) golf course is well worth the trip. A very interesting layout, outstanding conditions, and the smoothest greens I've experienced so far this year. Much to our surprise, the course was nearly vacant. Pace of play was obviously not an issue. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the starter - great sense of humor. We'll definitely come back.
Maples at Sea Trail Golf Resort and Convention Center
Played On 11/21/2015A pleasant experience
The greens at the Sea Trail Maples course were outstanding. Perfect pace for scoring. The fairways were a bit shaggy, but given all the recent rain I suppose that should be expected. Some of the teeing areas were pretty beat up and could use some TLC. I was surprised that only some of the holes were cart path only - the course must drain better than some others in the region. The bag drop guy was a shining star, couldn't have been more helpful. Stopped in the restaurant at the turn for water, seemed like a nice place.
Brierwood Golf Club
Played On 11/18/2015Good value and no crowds
Although some of the fairways are still pretty wet, it was a pleasure to play the course. The greens were recently top dressed, but very playable. A few of the teeing areas need work. Overall the course is in much better condition than it was a year ago. Pace of play was outstanding (2 1/2 hrs walking).
Eagle's Pointe Golf Club
Played On 08/26/2015Nice layout, well bunkered greens
Unfortunately we played Eagle's Pointe after a few days of rain, so the course was quite wet (cart path only) and the greens were very slow. The bunkers, although well situated, hadn't been raked for some time and were very wet and firm. I would like to play the course again when the conditions are better.
