We noticed that the hole locations weren't changed in quite a while because we could see the grass growing over the edges. Course was in fairly good shape, with the exception of 2 or 3 greens that'd some heavy repairs done.

This is one terrific golf course. The conditions were as good as they get. Great Tee Boxes, Fairways were plush and the greens were perfect. It was mild winds with sun and temperatures in the low 80's. This course is a beast when the wind blows as it is wide open. I highly recommend it to any serious golfer looking for a different layout in the northeast.

Fair warning......DO NOT play this course after a rain storm. It is always cart path only and the pace of play is atrocious! There were four rangers out on the course and they do absolutely nothing. And don't bother saying anything about the pace of play to the staff because they could care less. Once they have your money, they could care less what happens on the course, One good note.......The greens were in fabulous condition.

The greens were terrible. Too many ball marks never repaired. Upkeep of the greens left a lot to be desired. Some of the tee boxes were also in bad shape. Seems like there is not much money being spent on maintenance.

Course was in great shape but took 5 hours to play on a Saturday. There were no rangers pushing any of the groups, which is never a good sign.

I love this golf course. A bit of a ride for me from North Jersey, but worth the trip. Very challenging, but might be a little difficult for the average golfer. Weekend play can be very slow and the ranger(s) do not really push the slow groups. Took us over 5 hours on a course that the staff promotes as a 4 1/2 hour round. The bunkers were recently renovated and the new sand is deep and soft. Makes it difficult to get up and down.

Mansion Rifge is a great Jack Nicklaus design, but it lacks the character that is common with other Nicklaus venues. The conditions of the golf course do not meet the price you pay for greens fees. If I am going to pay one hundred or more dollars for a round of golf, then the conditions of the course should reflect that cost. Mansion Ridge falls way short of meeting that requirement.
