It had been a number of years since I played this course. Being August in Houston, the course was well maintained, & green. The greens are in good condition and fast. Paying only $26 on a Sunday is an added bonus through the GolfNow Hot Deals. We will keep this course in our rotation.

I don't often leave negative reviews on courses, and won't begin now. However, this is a local's course, and should not be confused with nearby Monarch Beach, or any better municipal course. If you are visiting from out of town, go somewhere else.

This course has soooooo much potential, just not sure it will get there any time soon.

This is a great course. Every hole has its own characteristics. Unfortunately greens had just been punched prior to my arrival, so putting was quite the challenge. Look forward to playing again When i am back in town.

The last time I played this course was about 8 years ago. At that time, I pledged, never again. Since then, there has been quite a bit of T.L.C on the course. It is still rough around the edges, but progress has been made. The day I played I forgot my daughters clubs, and the pro-shop pulled together a women's set for me at the last minute which was greatly appreciated.

Although the greens desperately need to be rolled, the overall condition was better than expected for a humid December day. I will be back.

I enjoyed playing the McCormick palm on 9/26. I paid $40 on a Monday, and was 1st out of chute. Course was in good shape, but the bunkers were in need of a little more sand, and were rough around the edges. The greens held true. For $10-$15 more during the week, some of the nicer courses that surround McCormick ranch may be a better option. With that being said, I enjoyed my round and thought the $40 price point was appropriate.

We had a good time playing this course today. As others have said, the wind really comes in the play, and you better keep it in the fairway. The clubhouse let us off a little early which was great. Unfortunately there was a foursome playing a five hour round on a Thursday and we could not get through them. Sure wish we would have seen a Marshall on the course. Great value for a golf now hot deal. Although the views are really good, I wouldn't consider this a true mountain course.

What a treat to play this phenomenal course. I've played many mountain courses in Colorado and this is head and shoulders one of the best. Quite a treat for this Houstonian.

The campus course is a gem smack dab on campus.

3rd time to play Moody and it's always a pleasure. Great practice area and great course.

Utilized a GolfNow hot deal. Great price. The normal green fee (above $65 on weekends) might be a little steep for this course. The greens are generally in good shape, and this round they had just been punched. Looking forward to the trees continuing to fill out for a little summer cover.

I've played here many times and always enjoy it. With a little more TLC this may someday be a destination course again.

Having driven by this course hundreds of times, I finally played. And, I'll be back . Purchase the yardage book for $3 if it's your first time. Not tricked out, but can be challenging.

I've played E.P. many times, but yesterday was the 1st time for a number of years. I have to ask myself "what took so long". Great layout not too far from Houston. Worth the drive.

Quite a phenomenal course. I'm not sure about playing $200 or more, but the deal I got was worth the $$.

This was our 1st time to travel from the Heights to Missouri City and play this course. It was worth the drive with the great Golfnow rate.

A little off the beaten path. However, a nice track for this Houstonian.

Very nice course for this Houstonian to play, and great value. The only downside are the dirt cart paths filled with pot holes. The golf course makes up for that.

I have vowed many times never to play Heron Lakes again. But this time it was different. The grass on the tees, fairways and greens was good being the month of July with no recent moisture. The greens had not been cut for a while, so they played very slow. Leave the driver in the car and bring a few spare balls. For less than $20 on a weekend, it is hard to beat if just getting some strokes and practice in.

If you want to play solid $15-$20 round of golf (with cart), this is a good spot. We played 4 days after the flood so the course was rough around the edges. However, the greens were in very solid shape.

For those thinking it is on par with Battleground or Clear Creek, it is not. You get what you pay for and this is a solid value.
