Rio Secco
About
Designed by Rees Jones and Keith Evans, Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson affords great views of the Las Vegas Strip below as golfers try to find the course's tricky bentgrass greens. Said greens can be difficult to read, and if you find yourself above the hole, two-putts become a real challenge. One of the most talked about holes, the 200-yard par-3 12th, plays over a valley to a large green that slopes severely from back to front. Back pin positions are difficult, but a front location can yield aces as everything seems to funnel to that spot. Rio Secco is also home to the Butch Harmon School of Golf.

Hands down best golf course in Nevada
Let me just say as all the other reviews confirmed, best golf course in Nevada and California. I play on the www.gcamtour.com and experience courses throughout the United States and have to say this is the tops. I have never played on such pristine conditions until I played Rio secco course. The fairways were immaculate and the rough was well manicured too. You cannot beat the views of the Las Vegas strip. AMAZING!!! The greens are quick but fair. Now.... I played on a day when it was only 38 degrees with some light sprinkling but the course did not looked beaten up from the harsh weather at all. In fact, the course looked more beautiful than ever. If you want a guaranteed win, you must play Rio secco!
The best course
We come from south america ,and this is the best course i played in vegas
WOW
We came from the east coast and this course delivers a outstanding enjoyable round of golf .The layout is superb. Absolutely fantastic scenery. If you are visiting Las Vegas its a must play track
This course is tight, but very fair. Greens were fast but not hard to read.
Fun Course
I enjoyed Rio Secco golf Club. Play it as part of the double play with Cascata. You basically play Rio for free. The course was in good shape, had some great views but did't have that wow factor that some other Vegas courses have. I would recommend it. My only complaint would be the driving range. The balls were restricted flight, which i could understand but they were in horrible condition
Slow play on front nine little better on the back, but beautiful day and great layout and even better cart girl Jenna was the best very friendly and made a fun experience throughout the day.
Great Layout & Conditions
From the moment you drive up & into the facility, you know you're going to be thrilled.
Bag drop & pro shop attendants were efficient.
Great range with putting and chipping areas.
Greens were running quite quick, but rolled very true.
Fairways and tee boxes all in fabulous shape.
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire round.
Played on a Friday afternoon and pace was NOT a problem at all.
Great views of the LV area and the Strip on a few holes.
Can't wait to come back.....
Great Day
One of the most scenic courses that I have ever played Course was in great shape, greens ran smooth and the evaluation changes were spectacular.
Great shape, slow play.
Played in early March 2019. Fairways are in great shape. Greens were very firm and rolled true. A few memorable holes but mostly a nice layout that wound through the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we waited on every tee box, sometimes two groups deep. The group in front departed after nine holes which helped. Overall, highly recommended.
Simply awesome
This course is one of the most exciting I have played. A must play when in Vegas.
Perfection
Well traveled low hdcper this course is beautifull in perfect shape fast hard greens yet very fair. Clubhouse team solid range perfect and chipping area fantastic. The elevation changes and scenic views are awesome. Played back tees but would suggest anyone with 6 hdcp or higher move up a yee box it will be more fun. Fairways are wide but most players need to move up min of one tee but two woukd be best. Fabulous course for gold player
Dry River
Certainly ranks as one of the top 2 or 3 golf links in the area!
Atrocious pace
Nice course, staff less than friendly and no control of pace of play! Marshall drove around but nothing was done
Best Course
I have played many courses in Vegas, I try to play a different one every visit. My first time RIO Secco was awesome. The fairways and greens were in great shape, I will say the best I have ever played. I have played TPC Las Vegas, Paiute, Bears best and RIO Secco was the best condition and layout. I will definitely play it again. I am a 10 handicap.
Fabulous
The course right now is in terrific shape. If you kept the ball in the fairway it sat up and said, “Please hit me!”
Thanks for playing with us Alex. Sorry the experience wasn't what you were expecting, and that when booking the 1:50pm tee time, you didn't realize you wouldn't finish your round. That being said, our pace of play on the day of your visit was still slower than our standard of 4.5-5 hours, and we do apologize for your inconvenience. We hope to see you again and look forward to an opportunity to show you a better side of Rio Secco.
