Course is in rough shape
I went to Texas 9 for my first time last week. The “clubhouse” isn’t labeled and is a multipurpose building which can make it confusing to know where to go if you’re unfamiliar. The staff was friendly and helpful. Paid $12 for a small basket of range balls. The golf cart was new and nice. Just a heads up though - in the reservation it says the cart is included in the price. It is NOT. In fact it’s an additional $30. I was in a rush so I didn’t have a choice but to pay it, but I wish I would’ve know beforehand. I’m glad I had the cart though because it’s a pretty good distance so if you’re walking bring your walking shoes. The greens are in TERRIBLE shape. Uneven with holes throughout and dead grass on almost every green. It’s nice if you have an issue with your putts going long because you definitely don’t have to worry about that. I was very disappointed by the course conditions. It layout was fun and challenging though. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s beginner friendly, as many holes are around the water. Overall 2 stars. It would be worth it if the cart price was included but I probably wouldn’t recommend for the price.
Texas 9 is a 10!
I've played this course several times now and I love it! It's the perfect executive 9 hole course. Don't have time for a full 18? Texas 9. Need to get a little practice in but don't want to just hit the driving range? Texas 9.
The place is under new management and the recent changes are fantastic! The new carts are the best I've ever driven on any course. They're like golf Teslas. The fairways and greens are looking good. The driving range has gotten some recent love too with new netting and more! And the price is very reasonable; even more so if you get an annual membership.
Great course!
Good short par 9
The course is really nice with lots of water and well groomed greens
Texas 9 out of 10
Had a fun 1st visit here, brought the Mrs. Out for the 1st time golfing and she enjoyed it. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Under new management and Looking forward to coming back for another visit.
Quite a surprise!
Great golf holes with an interesting layout, great value and brand new carts. only 9 holes but easy to play twice. Place really surprised me as quality golf holes offered a good challenge unlike all other par 3s in the area.
Value for money
Probably best value for money in TX, if you don't play this more than once your wasting money great greens !
Texas 9
Very good Course, lots of water and small greens. I would highly recommend playing there.
Great Course to Practice Irons
Loved the course. It also was not congested and great pace of play.
Very fun practice course
First time I went found a ton of golf balls not as much the second time. Staff is friendly I played through twice with no complaints because it was empty definitely a fun course.
Great course with great potential
I played 9 and had to go for another 9 immediately after. Josh the GM was super nice and very genuine. They just took over the course 3 months ago and are putting in a ton of work to bring the course back to life. This course has a little bit of everything. I spent the same amount of money playing here today as I do at a driving range but got way better practice in. It’s not in the best shape yet but you can tell with the work they are doing they will definitely have this course in great shape soon. I look forward to coming back and seeing the progress.
